Spotted
No, Lewis Moonie still seems to be keeping a low profile. But today I spotted Kirkcaldy's MSP, Marilyn Livingstone talking to constituents. You never see Lewis Moonie about the place...
Gordon Brown in Kirkcaldy
As I've decided to start taking more of a look at Gordon Brown, it's worth noting that he was once again in Kirkcaldy yesterday. He was opening new factory premises for Key-Tech.
Maybe it's just that Gordon Brown is bound to have a higher profile anyway since he is the Chancellor - aswell as the next Labour candidate for the constituency. It's just interesting to note that you hear a lot more about Gordon Brown here than you do about Lewis Moonie.

STILL not Lewis Mooney
This blog has been mentioned in yet another article [not that I'm complaining] about blogging in The Guardian. This article is filled with mistakes, and in the great battle to see which mistake is the worst, I'm going to fail miserably.
Nevertheless, it rather annoys me to see my MP's name - and my blog - get called M-O-O-N-E-Y.
Search for 'Lewis Moonie' in Google and this blog comes eighteenth.
Search for 'Lewis Mooney' in Google and this blog comes second.
So at least people who can't spell (and readers of The Guardian) are sure to find this blog swiftly!
It's always been a secret ambition of mine to appear in Corrections and Clarifications. I await tomorrow's copy with anticipation.

Lewis Moonie has a secret
This morning The Guardian is reporting on ministers who are taking a great step forward for freedom of information. Unfortunately, Lewis Moonie isn't one of them. The move, by nine out of 20 ministers with hitherto undisclosed interests who have served since 1999, in effect torpedoes a ferociously defended government policy of keeping the information secret on grounds of "privacy".Lewis Moonie is apparently "aware of potential conflicts of interest" but has not as yet disclosed any details. It's funny that he should make it into the news by not doing something.
It marks a major development in freedom of information. The Guardian is publishing their declarations as the first step towards a full public register.
...
Maurice Frankel, director of the Campaign for Freedom of Information, said: "These ministers were acting conscientiously. Why did the government get so agitated? They are damaging public confidence by creating unnecessary obstacles of secrecy."

Lewis Moonie roundup
Okay, it's been ages since I updated this blog. It's not because I'm lazy. It's just because Lewis Moonie has what could be politely called a 'low profile'.
Well, I've given this place a bit of a spring clean. I've had a look at some of the other MP blogs which have been starting up, and they've been food for thought. I've added some new stuff, including instant-Moonie-news-link-o-mania. That is, of course, assuming Lewis Moonie is ever actually in the news.
Anyway, in the process I discovered something which I hadn't previously known about Lewis Moonie. In April he was appointed a Non-Executive Director of AEA Technology.
The company provides consultancy, technical services and products to three markets:This does kind of tally, as Moonie did say that he had expected to become Energy Minister (although he didn't).
- Rail
- Environment
- Portable Power
However, that was news long before I started this blog. And every time there's been Moonie-related news I've blogged about it and the last time was almost a month ago now. Couple this with the fact that he's not even going to be an MP at the next parliament, and you get quite a boring and, let's face it, useless blog. As such, this blog will start taking more of a look at Gordon Brown, who is going to be the next Labour candidate for the new Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency.
